What’s a place that shaped an important part of you? What’s a place that you’ve moved away from — and yet could never fully leave behind? And yet, now that you’ve left, you can only ever wander through those streets again in your dreams.
Zushi is a bit magic in that regard, for both Chiharu and me. As her time in Zushi came to an end, we wanted to capture the feeling of standing still as a place that meant so much moved on without you.

束の間の立ち寄り— 通り過ぎただけの町だったのに、
かけがえのない思い出を残し、
気づかぬうちに、大切なことを教えてくれた。
逗子が自分にとってどんな場所か、今でもよくわからない。
ただ、こんな感情が入り混じる—
あたたかさ、戸惑い、そして、ほろ苦さ。
まだ迷えるほど若く、
もう選べるほど大人になった。
この時期の曖昧さを、逗子は表している
いつまでも心に残るのは静かな朝、
海辺の散歩、
人生について語った日々、
少しずつ訪れる気づき、
そして、自分を育てる余白。
