This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to purchases made through https://emileyoung.com.
This website is operated by Emile Young Photography, run by Emile Young as an individual/sole trader based in the United States.
For questions about an order, return, refund, or replacement, contact:
1. Overview
Emile Young Photography sells photographic prints and related physical items.
Because prints may be made, prepared, packaged, or fulfilled to order, returns are not automatically accepted for change of mind unless required by applicable law.
If there is a problem with your order, please contact hello@emileyoung.com as soon as possible so it can be reviewed.
2. Damaged, defective, or incorrect items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact hello@emileyoung.com within 7 days of delivery.
Please include:
- Your order number
- A short description of the issue
- Clear photos of the item
- Clear photos of the packaging
- Your preferred resolution, if you have one
Please keep the item and packaging until the issue is resolved, as they may be needed for a shipping claim.
If the issue is approved, Emile Young Photography may offer one of the following:
- A replacement
- A refund
- A partial refund
- Another reasonable solution, depending on the situation
3. Change-of-mind returns
Change-of-mind returns are not guaranteed.
Because photographic prints are delicate and may be produced, prepared, or packaged specifically for your order, Emile Young Photography does not generally accept returns simply because you changed your mind, ordered the wrong size, dislike the print in person, or no longer want the item.
If you have an issue with your order, please still contact hello@emileyoung.com and it will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
4. Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, contact hello@emileyoung.com as soon as possible.
Cancellation may not be possible once the order has been printed, packaged, shipped, or otherwise prepared for fulfilment.
If cancellation is possible, a refund will be issued to the original payment method.
5. Lost orders
If your order appears to be lost in transit, contact hello@emileyoung.com with your order number.
An order may need to be investigated with the postal service or courier before a refund or replacement can be issued.
Emile Young Photography is not responsible for delays caused by postal services, couriers, customs, incorrect shipping information, weather, strikes, public holidays, or other circumstances outside reasonable control.
6. Incorrect shipping address
You are responsible for entering a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.
If an order is lost, delayed, or returned because the shipping address was incorrect or incomplete, Emile Young Photography is not responsible for refunding or replacing the order.
If the order is returned safely, it may be possible to resend it. Additional shipping costs may apply.
7. International orders
Emile Young Photography sells worldwide.
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, local taxes, or other charges applied by their country.
These charges are not refundable by Emile Young Photography.
Shipping delays caused by customs are outside Emile Young Photography’s control.
8. Return shipping
If a return is approved, instructions will be provided by email.
Unless the item is damaged, defective, incorrect, or a return is required by applicable law, the customer may be responsible for return shipping costs.
Returned items should be packaged carefully. Emile Young Photography is not responsible for items that are lost or damaged during return shipping.
9. Refunds
If a refund is approved, it will usually be issued to the original payment method.
Refund processing times can vary depending on your bank, card provider, or payment processor.
Original shipping costs may be non-refundable unless the refund is due to an error by Emile Young Photography, a damaged/defective item, an incorrect item, or a legal requirement.
10. Non-returnable items
Unless required by applicable law, the following items are generally not returnable:
- Custom or personalised prints
- Made-to-order prints
- Limited edition prints
- Sale or discounted items marked as final sale
- Items damaged after delivery
- Items returned without approval
- Items returned in unsuitable packaging
11. Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding faulty, damaged, misdescribed, or delayed goods.
